THEODORE, Rev. Pamela The Reverend Pamela H. Theodore passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 2, 2018 at Presbyterian Hospital of Dallas at the age of 71 years. A native of Malvern, Arkansas, Pamela was born to Charles Raymond and Polly Emmert Hillis on June 29, 1946. She graduated Malvern High School, then went on to earn a Bachelor of Science in Political Science from Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas and a Master of Divinity with Magna Cum Laude honors from the SMU Perkins School of Theology. She was ordered to the Diaconate of the Episcopal Church in 1997 and to the Priesthood in 1998. Pamela served as chaplain of the Saint James Episcopal School, the Saint Michael and All Angels Episcopal School, and Saint Mark's School of Texas. She was a member of the clergy of Saint Michael and All Angels Episcopal Church from 1997 until her retirement in 2016, serving as Director and Associate Rector for Children and Family Ministry from 1997 to 2003. Since her retirement, she remained active in her love of teaching through several longstanding Bible classes, at Saint Michael and All Angels and elsewhere, and supported individuals from all walks of life through ongoing spiritual direction. Pamela will be lovingly remembered by her husband and best friend of 45 years, Doug, and their sons Joshua A. and wife Tina of Dallas, Miles D. and wife Jordan of Atlanta, Georgia, and Parrish S. of Boulder, Colorado, as well as their six grandchildren, Hannah, Emma, Sarah, Austin, Morgan, and Christian. Friends and all those whose lives Pamela has touched are invited to join her family for a memorial service and brief reception to joyously celebrate her life and ministry at 1:00 PM on Saturday, May 19, 2018 at Saint Michael and All Angels Episcopal Church.
