Join Santa Natividad for tacos, mariachis, a dance floor and more fun than you can shake a maraca at during the Festival Cinco de Mayo, scheduled 4-9 p.m., May 6, at the church, 2200 18th Street in Plano. The congregation includes families from Cuba, Mexico, Argentina, Costa Rica, Peru and Bolivia. The potluck will include traditional foods from many of these countries. Music will be provided by a mariachi musicians  and a contemporary latin band. There will be plenty of activities for children, including a bounce-house. The party is open to the neighborhood as well, said the Rev. Noe Mendez, who enjoys making common events evangelistic. "The festival is for the purpose of bringing new people to the church," he said. "It's a good way to show how we live in our Christian life as Episcopalians."
