Muslim Refugee Comes to Faith

Akbar Heshmati has been in the U.S. for about four months, since he he left Iran. He and his family started attending Gateway of Grace Wednesday night worship almost immediately. Four weeks later, the Lord started moving in heart and he only found peace when he attended Gateway of Grace worship. Then, he had a dream! The Lord works in mysterious ways and calls people to himself. He saw the Rev. Dr. Samira Izadi Page and her husband, Dennis Page, at a large church. They were asking him to come forward. Dennis asked him to write down the names of five saints. Two weeks later, he had the same dream again but this time, Dennis asked him to write "God is Holy" five times. The next morning, his wife called Page and after meeting with her, Heshmati decided that God was calling him through these dreams to be baptized and he would not have peace unless he converted. Page has been offering catechism in Farsi. Heshmati will be baptized at 6 p.m., October 25, at St. Luke’s in Dallas by the Rt. Rev. George Sumner. It will be by immersion. Everyone is invited to this joyous occasion. Please RSVP at .
