Resurgence Weekend at Good Shepherd in Cedar Hill

Good Shepherd Episcopal Church at 915 Straus Road in Cedar Hill.

    September 16, 17, and 18th 2016

Resurgence- an increase or revival after a period of little activity, popularity, or occurrence:

"a resurgence of interest in religion or faith."

Good Shepherd Episcopal Church is pleased to announce a revival weekend in September 2016! “Resurgence,” is a call to renew, refresh and restore. Three nights of ministry geared to the final Sunday night harvest event entitled, “Restore.” Saturday, we will “Reach” out as we train and send evangelists out into the harvest field.

Friday September 16th at 7:00 PM

    Renew!

In Isaiah 1, God speaking through His prophet Isaiah, called the people of God to repentance and renewal. This is the believer’s night. Jesus said that you can’t pour new wine into old wineskins. God wants to pour a new wine into the hearts and lives of His people but he needs to renew the old skins to prepare them for this new infilling. This renewal is in preparation for the work He desires to do through us both during this weekend and in the months and years to come. Please come and Renew your walk with Christ.

Saturday September 17th at 8:30 AM

    Reach!

Our revival weekend convenes with evangelistic training on Saturday Morning. We will train and equip God’s evangelists to go out into the harvest field and invite people to come to the Sunday night meeting. Attenders will be encouraged to share their faith, to invite unbelievers from their “Kin” circle and also from the “Community” and any “Interest” groups they may be a part of.

Saturday September 17th at 6:30 PM

    Refresh!

Jeremiah 30:17 But I will restore you to health and heal your wounds,' declares the LORD, 'because you are called an outcast, Zion for whom no one cares.'

Acts 3:19 Repent, then, and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped out, that times of refreshing may come from the Lord,

Following Friday night’s event, each person will be challenged to do something on Saturday to invite to Sunday night’s service or to share Christ with others. Saturday night will be a healing and prayer emphasis in preparation for the work of the Spirit that God wants to do on Sunday night! Saturday afternoon will be the time for reconnecting with those who need Christ and we will pray in faith Saturday night for the harvest on Sunday. We will invite God’s healing and infilling in the life of every believer to make ready. Come and be refreshed!

Sunday September 18th at 7:00 PM

    Restore!

Joel 2:25 And I will restore to you the years that the locust hath eaten, the cankerworm, and the caterpillar, and the palmerworm.

Jeremiah 30:17 But I will restore you to health and heal your wounds,' declares the LORD, 'because you are called an outcast, Zion for whom no one cares.'

This is the big night of harvest. Everyone we have invited, prayed for, and sought the Lord for will hear the gospel preached and have a chance to respond. God desires to restore everyone in relationship with Him and give them salvation. His love knows no bounds and no limits! God seeks to restore the hearts and lives of everyone, bringing them into an intimate relationship with Him.
