Irving ISD honored St. Mark’s in Irving, with the Golden Apple Award. This recognition is the highest honor the school district bestows upon a Partner in Education and for outstanding contributions to students and schools. St. Mark’s was nominated by Britain Elementary School because of the volunteer work the church has done for the school.

For more than10 years St. Mark's has participated in clothing drives, created Christmas stockings, mentored, joined reading and lunch buddy programs; bought backpacks for back-to-school. Volunteers also provided meals for teachers, including more than 100 crockpot lunches for all the teachers one year after a particularly busy week, sweets for the library during book sale week, library work and brought items for garage sales.
