About the Speaker-- Lauren Stroh, MS, NCC, LPC Intern

Lauren Strohs, MS, NCC, LPC Intern is a person-centered therapist specializing in play therapy, addictions and general and performance anxiety related to the arts. Based in Dallas, Texas, Lauren works at Might Oaks Counseling under the supervision of Dr. Sarah Carlson. Lauren is also active as a professional chorister and soloist in the DFW area and is director of music and organist at Holy Trinity by the Lake Episcopal Church in Heath, Texas.

In 2019, Lauren completed her Masters of Science degree in Clinical Counseling from University of North Texas and previously in 2011, graduated with a Bachelor of Music from Oberlin Conservatory. Active in both the field of counseling and music performance, Lauren is passionate about sharing mental health information and coping skills with musicians and artists who may be experiencing difficulty in these unique settings. Recently, Lauren began work as a visiting guest speaker for colleges regarding " Mental Health for the Performing Artist," which has been introduced to multiple colleges around Texas as well as colleges and various artistic institutions in Iowa, Ohio, and New York City.
