Anglican Feast of Nations
Sunday, July 13, 2025, 5:00 PM - 7:30 PM
Join the Diocese in the celebration of our Garland congregations who are coming together for an Anglican Feast of Nations worship service scheduled for 5 p.m., July 13, at Holy Trinity, 3217 Guthrie Road, in Garland.
The worship includes clergy and congregations from Holy Trinity, San Bernebe, Emmanuel Anglican, and St. Philip's Sudanese. The service will reflect the cultures of all the congregants and include the languages Urdu-Hindi, Dinka, Igbo, Spanish and English. Each parish is bringing their own choir for one hymn that reflects their language and music culture.
One of the churches will present a unique spiritual discipline from their home country. "Because it's an opportunity to learn about a faith practice in a different culture," said the Rev. Hinnan Herbert, Vicar at Holy Trinity. In future gatherings the churches will take turns with this presentation.
Each parish will ask for intercessory prayer for the challenges they face as they walk with the Lord and witness Christ.
After the service the everyone is invited to stay and partake in cultural food and visit with each other.
