Diocesan Retreat 2022

Join Bishop Michael Smith, Canon Carrie Boren, Spiritual Director Pat Stone, and Father Bob Corley for 48 hours of retreat on March 25-27 at the Prothro Center in Pottsboro. This will be the same retreat content as was presented last October, only on the weekend for those prevented from attending during the weekdays.

There will be time for prayer, reflection, conversation, and rest. The theme will be the mission pursuits of Prayer, Evangelism, and Service as viewed through the lens of Benedictine Spirituality. In the Catechism of the Book of Common Prayer we learn: “The Church pursues its mission as it prays and worships, proclaims the Gospel, and promotes justice, peace, and love” (BCP 855).

In addition, participants are asked to read beforehand Benedictine Promises for Everyday People by Rachel Srubas.

For laity, bishops, priests, and deacons--all the ministers of the church.

The Cost is $220 and is payable by check or money order to The Episcopal Diocese of Dallas/EDOD Retreat, 5100 Ross Avenue, Dallas, Texas 75206. Registration deadline is March 18.
