Mission and Outreach: Gulf Coast Floods

Friends, Here is the bulletin insert from Episcopal Relief & Development on what we can do to help our brothers and sisters in the Gulf Coast area who have been affected by the horrendous flooding there.  We remember all too well what it is like to face a devastating disaster and Episcopal Relief & Development was there to help us as well.  Please urge your congregations to be generous.

Here is Episcopal Relief & Development's web statement about response efforts.

We have also put together worship bulletin inserts to help raise funds for disaster response. Would you please forward them to your networks or print them to use in your congregations?

Mission and Outreach: Mission in Bolivia

Join Saint Michael and All Angels Mission and Outreach Ministry on August 14 during the Adult Formation hour in welcoming Mr. Chris King, Executive Director of Amistad Mission.  Chris will be here to tell us all about what happens at Amistad Mission in Cochabamba, Bolivia and how Saint Michael and All Angels Parish is a vital part of supporting Amistad Mission and the children that live there.

Following the 11:00AM services, parishioners interested in learning more about the pilgrimage trip to Amistad Mission are invited to join us for a luncheon in the Coke Activities Room.  The luncheon is open to any parishioner interested in learning more about Amistad Mission, how you can be involved as a pilgrim, or as a prayer partner.  Please RSVP for the luncheon by sending an email to Maria D'Antoni.

Travel to Amistad Mission in October

Missioners to Amistad Mission experience the grace of God's love through the lives of the children that we meet.  After her first trip to Amistad Mission Kelly Reddell writes about a moment in which she saw God's grace at work:

I will forever remember the beautifully simple celebration for the Feast of St. Michael, which was held in Casa San Miguel.  After the service, there was a birthday party for one of the little boys, new to the casa.  As he stood at the table with a birthday cake for him, and everyone singing Feliz Cumpleanos, he began to cry. Never before had he experienced a celebration for his life.  He had never had a birthday cake. This is the family of Amistad, embracing their new member with God’s love.

Join Saint Michael and All Angels in a trip to Amistad Mission in October 2016 and experience God's grace in surprising ways!
