George H. W. Bush
Dear Brothers and Sisters,
Greetings in Christ. We are saddened to hear of the death of President George H.W. Bush. He was a patriot as a serviceman in World War II. He served our nation in many offices in public life. As our nation’s leader he stood up for freedom and opposed tyranny. His vision of "A Thousands Points of Light" has a gospel ring to it. Throughout, his decency and humanity shone through.
George was a devout Christian and a fellow Episcopalian. He now stands before the throne in glory. I hope we will give thanks for his life in our worship on Sunday.
