The Anglican Diocese of Koforidua is a Diocese in the Internal Province of Ghana of the Church of the Province of West Africa. It is a Diocese with the Vision “to lift high the cross of Christ in the life of every member and community in the Diocese” and the mission is “to respond to the love and holiness of God as a dynamic worshipping community of persons committed to Jesus Christ, serving and witnessing to Him in the world through the power of the Holy Spirit”.

Based on this vision to lift the cross of Christ in the community, the Diocese envisages to embark on the following projects as the Church’s commitment to the community.

    1. DETERIORATING UNCOMPLETED SCHOOL BLOCK

To improve the delivery of early childhood education and a conducive environment for studies, the students of the St. Ann’s Anglican Basic School need their new 2-unit classroom block which has been under construction since 2013 but has since stalled due to financial constraints completed. This has led to the deterioration of the structure. Estimate for this project is Gh₵50,000.00 and is equivalent to US$4,418.31 at a rate of Gh₵11.30=US$1.00 as at June, 2023. Attach are some pictures and the total estimate for the completion of the block.

    1. COMMUNITY PIGGERY PROJECT

The Diocese finds itself in one of the regions with high youthful unemployed population, leading to an increase in rural urban migration. This has become a huge challenge posing a major risk to the communities in the region and the nation at large. It is therefore one of the major charges of the Diocese to help through its social intervention programmes to reduce these challenges. One of the social interventions of the Diocese is to establish a community piggery project which would create employment for the teeming unemployed youth and to help build their interest in agriculture. The estimate for the establishment of a simple community piggery project is Gh₵102,045.00. This estimate is equivalent to US$9,023.00 at a rate of Gh₵11.30=US$1.00 as at June, 2023.

    1. UNCOMPLETED DIOCESAN OFFICE COMPLEX

The Diocese in a quest to provide the Clergy and Lay ministers with easy access to research and reference materials for their ministry, intends to build a Clergy and Lay ministers Library and Conference room at the available space at the top floor of the uncompleted Diocesan Secretariat. Below are pictures of the uncompleted Diocesan Secretariat.
