    Why: The Back Story –

EDOD’S Partnership With South Dallas Ministries One of Bishop Sumner’s priorities is that EDOD partner with South Dallas churches and ministries (the “Greater Dallas Coalition”) to proclaim the love of Christ to all people, and especially to those most in need.

The Village Oaks Community Village Oaks is a community of about 400 families (1500 men, women and children), most of whom live well below the poverty line. The area is now controlled by a drug cartel and gangs, both very destructive influences on family and community life.

Staking a Claim for Christ Enter 501(c)(3) ministry HOG MOB (Hook’d on God, Minstry Ova Business), a Christian hip hop ministry, and the Greater Dallas Coalition. HOG MOB is claiming the Village Oaks community for Christ, has ongoing ministries there, and is holding a free major event there on June 17, including a Christian hip hop concert, barbecue, food distribution, and other events. Our food drive will help provide food for distribution to the families on June 17.

Please help with the effort to be a lifeline and to claim this community for Christ. Questions? Contact Deacon Mark Hall at (214) 457-6202.
