    Contemplative Prayer Practices Class:

    (1)  Zoom Class- Tuesday nights at 7-8:30 pm (Sept 14-Oct 12)

    We will cover topics including awareness of God’s presence, breath prayer, Lectio Divina, Guided meditation, centering prayer, listening prayer.

    (2)  In-person class – Wednesday mornings from 9:30-11:00 am (Sept 15-Oct 13)

    We will cover topics including awareness of God’s presence, breath prayer, Lectio Divina, Guided meditation, centering prayer, listening prayer. Morning Prayer will be offered at 9 am on Wednesday mornings before contemplative prayer class.

    Contemplative Pause Podcast 

    Available new each week on Tuesdays at 6 pm  (begins September 14- check out our website – abbeyonlovers.org - for more information).  Contemplative Pause is a 10-15 min broadcast with a “Be still and know” message to help you center down for a brief time each week.                      

    Silent Prayer for Racial Reconciliation

         Wednesday, September 8 – Welcome coffee-11:30 am – 1:00 pm

         Wednesdays starting September 15 from 12 noon – 1 pm

          (Community leaders, pastors, friends welcome)

    Saturday mornings Sept 11, Oct 9, or Nov 13-9:30-11 am

    Advent – Season of Preparation Contemplative Class:   

                   Saturdays, Dec 4, 11, 18 from 9:30 – 10:45 am

         Join in for three weeks before the onslaught of the commercialism and anxiety of  

    Christmas, and experience a different contemplative practice each week that will enable you to still and quiet yourself in ways that help sustain you through “the holiday season.”

    Silence, Meditation, and Solitude 

    Schedule time for retreat at The Abbey once a week, once a month, all day, half day.  Find your spiritual “oasis” nearby to be able to pull away and get back to your other commitment.
