More than 60 people gathered at St. Philip's in Sulphur Springs recently for a conference on the Gifts of the Holy Spirit with leaders from the Anglican Renewal Ministry from Canada. Anglican renewal teacher, Jane Jones, taught about the gifts of the Holy Spirit given of us. 

The ministry is comprised of lay and clergy from throughout Canada and operate as a non-profit. Their mission is to offer times of refreshing so God's people may be empowered by the Holy Spirit through teaching, equipping and fellowship in the love of Jesus.(ACTS 3:19-21)

The event was organized by Bishop Fraser Lawton, who works to develop strong programming for East Texas churches. Focusing on the Holy Spirit was the much needed balm for the soul in this pandemic world, said Canon Carrie Headington. "It was a time of great spiritual refreshment," she said.
