Join us in this fond farewell to Bishop George Sumner and Stephanie as we lovingly send them off into retirement with a global parish picnic on the lawn at St. Matthew's Cathedral in Dallas, Noon to 2 p.m., Saturday, November 22. 

After 11 years Bishop Sumner is retiring to the Boston area where he will enjoy more time reading, writing books and attending Red Sox games. The parish picnic will include lots of wonderful food with African, Latin American, Asian and American dishes from around the diocese. We are still looking for parishes to fill in potluck signup slots to complete the picnic menu. In lieu of gifts, Bishop Sumner has asked that parishes and individuals in the Diocese of Dallas make contributions to support the work of our missionaries in Egypt, Fr. Jeff Boldt and his wife Jenn. Thanks to a generous donor, every dollar given will be matched up to $50,000, allowing the Boldts to remain fully funded through 2026. Donations can be made in the following ways.
