Two centuries ago, the Church led the fight to end the slave trade. In our own time, there is again the need for this clear witness and this liberating to end the modern slave trade. Project Moses is a crucial ministry in this effort, both in its vision and its action and I commend it to you. 

Human trafficking is modern day slavery and January is Human Trafficking Awareness Month. This offers us an opportunity to shine the light of Christ on this issue and its survivors. Please remind your congregations that the evils of human trafficking are in every community and that we should be involved in the fight against this terrible crime.
