Immunization Clinic
Church of the Incarnation hosts a free immunization clinic and health fair from 1 to 3 p.m. on August 22. Free immunizations, participation/sports physicals, dental screenings and eye exams are available. The church is located at 3966 McKinney Ave., just north of Blackburn Street.
Church of the Incarnation is offering a back-to-school immunization clinic. Vaccines are free for those two-months-old to 18 years of age who are Medicaid eligible or uninsured.
Eye and dental screenings are free to adults and children who are Medicaid eligible or uninsured. Also, students may get free sport participant/physicals.
Vaccinations offered include meningitis and whooping cough among others, and participants are asked to bring their immunization records.
In addition to vaccinations, sports-physicals and screenings, the clinic will feature a Zumba class, an "ask the doctor" booth, and a bicycle give-away for children. The Dallas Police Central Neighborhood Patrol Office will sponsor a bicycle safety course. The Mounted Patrol, McGruff the Crime Dog and Police Low-Rider will also be in attendance.
This event is sponsored by the church, and immunizations are provided by Texas Care Van.
Other participants include, the Dallas County Medical Society Alliance, The Dallas Police Central Neighborhood Patrol, Texas A&M College of Dentistry, Telemundo and North Dallas Shared Ministries.
