Mission Day 2024

Join us for the diocesan-wide event Mission Day 2024 scheduled for May 4, at St. Matthew's Cathedral. The topic is particularly profound in the post-Covid world, The Great De-Churching: Who's Leaving, Why Are They Going, and What Will it Take to Bring Them Back?
The keynote speakers are Jim Davis and Michael Graham who commissioned a study on de-churching in America. The results talk about how people leave the church with respects to their beliefs, behavior and belonging. They provide a detailed sketch of demographics, size, core concerns, church off-ramps and historical roots. They also explore what can be done to re-church those who have left.
