Unite and Serve Outreach Initiative
Dear Fellow Clergy,
As part of EDOD’s Unite and Serve outreach initiative, EDOD and its South Dallas ministry partners are supporting the annual Harvest Fest event on Saturday, Nov. 10, to share God’s abundant love with those in need in South Dallas.
Last year, Harvest Fest served over 2,000 people in need during this day-long event.
We ask for support from parishes and individuals to provide the following:
· Volunteers to serve that day
· Monetary support (by check or gift cards)
Here are the details –
WHAT: Harvest Fest 2018
Providing these & other services, free of charge, to the homeless and those in need:
· A Thanksgiving-style sit-down meal
· Clothing
· Medical screenings
· Haircuts
· Blankets
· Fun activities for kids
· Entertainment
WHERE: Cornerstone Baptist Church, 2715 S. Ervay St., Dallas 75215
WHEN: Saturday, Nov. 10 from 9 am to 3 pm
(Volunteers will serve in shifts)
NEEDS:
· Volunteers to serve the meal, help distribute clothing & provide other services
· Monetary donations (by check or gift card) to purchase turkeys, hams & other food for the meal
Checks: payable to Greater Dallas Coalition (a 501c3 nonprofit), with “Harvest Fest 2018” in the memo line
Gift cards: Walmart or other food store gift cards for use to purchase food for the meal
