University of Texas-Dallas Young Adult Ministry

    Dear Clergy and Lay Leaders,

    Grace and peace to you.

We are excited to announce a new chapter in young adult ministry within the Episcopal Diocese of Dallas. Through the Office of Multicultural Mission, in collaboration with Canon Cannaday, and with the blessing of Bishop Price, we are launching a diocesan-wide Episcopal campus ministry initiative, centered at The University of Texas at Dallas (UTD) as our pilot program.

This effort builds upon the faithful foundation established by the Church of the Epiphany through the Canterbury Club, which has served students with dedication and care. We are deeply grateful for their vision, leadership, and commitment to campus ministry.

As we enter this new chapter, we look forward to expanding programming, strengthening diocesan support, and renewing our vision for engaging and forming college students throughout the region. We will also introduce a new name and identity for the ministry that more clearly reflects its Episcopal character and its role as a diocesan-wide ministry serving students across our communities.

Our hope is to create a vibrant Episcopal student community that welcomes young adults from all cultures and backgrounds. We envision a ministry where students from UTD and other colleges and universities across the Diocese of Dallas can deepen their faith, build meaningful relationships, engage in service, explore their vocation, and experience the love of Christ in a faithful and supportive community.

    We need your help.

Do you know a student currently attending UTD? Are there college students or young adults in your parish who attend another local college or university and would be interested in connecting with a diocesan Episcopal campus ministry? Perhaps there are recent high school graduates preparing to begin their college journey this fall.

If so, I would be grateful if you would introduce them to us or encourage them to reach out directly.

Please feel free to forward this invitation to students, parents, families, and others in your congregation who may know college students seeking community, connection, and spiritual growth.

Please contact me at with student names, contact information, or any questions about this new ministry initiative.

Together, we have a unique opportunity to accompany young adults during one of the most formative seasons of their lives through authentic community. With God's help, we can build a thriving campus ministry that reflects the rich diversity of our diocese and our communities, welcoming students of every nationality, ethnicity, culture, and background as they seek purpose, belonging, and connection.

Thank you for your partnership, prayers, and support as we seek to nurture the next generation of leaders and disciples.

    Faithfully,

    Samira Page
