the Stanton Center for Ministry Formation
Equipping lay and ordained leaders to fulfill the baptismal call to ministry

Are you discerning a call to the diaconate, or to service as a lay minister?  Are you already serving, but want to be better equipped to know, proclaim, and live out the Gospel of Jesus Christ?  Do you want to go deeper as a disciple of Jesus and learn more about the Bible, the Book of Common Prayer, the Anglican tradition, the Christian life, and more?  Classes at the Stanton Center may be for you.

Our classes begin next month, August 15th!  Returning or new students can sign up now for the fall semester, with a sign-up deadline of noon on Aug. 14.  All classes this semester will be offered online, via Canvas and Zoom.  While we may be able to resume in-person learning for some students this fall if health and safety allow, students will be able to complete courses entirely online this academic year.

Stanton Center classes are open to all, whether you are in the Dallas diocese or studying online from elsewhere.  Our online students participate via Canvas and Zoom, with opportunities for group discussion and instructor feedback.  Classes meet the third Saturday each month, August through May.

This fall, our course offerings include:
-Introduction to Church History (Instructor: Matthew Esquivel)
-Diaconal Theology (Instructor: Deacon Rosemary Trei)
-Evangelism (Instructor: Canon Carrie Boren Headington)
-Homiletics (Instructor: The Rev. Michael Gilton)
-Introduction to the Christian Life (Instructor: The Rev. George Luck)
-Introduction to Christian Ministry (Instructor: The Rev. Canon Dr. Jordan Hylden)

More information about instructors, cost, and courses can be found in our course catalog.  You can learn more about the Stanton Center at our website, where you will also find links to application and registration forms, or by contacting us: The Rev. Canon Jordan Hylden, Dean ( ) and Laura Faulkner, Administrator ( ).

We are a ministry of the Episcopal Diocese of Dallas, joyfully committed to the “faith once delivered to the saints” (Jude 1:3) and to the Great Tradition of historic Christian orthodoxy as we have received it in our Anglican heritage.  Our faith commitments are those of the Episcopal Diocese of Dallas and of the Communion Partners, a fellowship of orthodox Anglicans in the Episcopal Church and Anglican Church of Canada.

We welcome you to learn and grow with us, in Christ’s name!
