If it feels like the world is powder keg with a lit fuse, you’re not alone. That’s because anger, fear, and hopeless are flooding the nations. Just look at our world. Americans are holding their collective breath for the most contentious election in our nation’s history. The middle east is slipping closer to all-out war every day. Russia continues its assault on Ukraine while more refugees are spilling into countries since humans have walked the earth. Surely the land is sick. But, what can we do? More importantly, what should Christians do?

“if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land. (2 chronicles 7:14)

There’s a lot Christians can do, but none of it will ultimately matter until we seek the face of God in collective prayer and repentance for ourselves, our nation and our world. That is why, on behalf of the Global Mission Task Force, we invite you to this timely call to collective prayer. What a privilege God has given us to “stand in the gap” for a world that is sick and is in desperate need of God’s healing touch. And yes, the Church is uniquely called and equipped for such a time as this.

Please join us for An Evening of Prayer for our churches, our Nation, the world, and Global Mission. This is our opportunity to come together as the Church for a world desperate for hope.
