Diocesan Convention 2024

Welcome!

Here are some quick items to know for the upcoming annual meeting. 

Time: Check in between 7:30 a.m. and 8 a.m. 

Date: November 9, which is the second Saturday of the month. (This is a change from previous years.)

Place: Parish Episcopal School, 4101 Sigma Road, Dallas, 75344

Bring:

• Gently used men's coats and shoes for One Man's Treasure, a ministry that collects items for men just released from prison. 
• Toy Drive for the Greater Dallas Coalition. Items needed are below. 
  • Ages 3- 8 Legos sets, action figures, Star Wars, STEM toys, race cars- remote controlled, board games for age 10 and up, Barbie dolls and accessories, tie-dye kits, jewelry kits, science kits, Karaoke system, skateboard, dish sets, doll house, early education toys, Big Wheel, dump trucks, art supplies and kick scooter. 
  • Ages 9-13 AXE sets, basketballs, cologne sets, dart boards, earbuds, electronic table games, footballs, soccer balls, tablets, watches, blow dryers, curling irons, flat irons, makeup gift sets, perfume sets, soccer balls, bath gift sets, art set, skateboard, and kick scooters. 

Two Pre-Convention Meetings are scheduled for October 12. The first one is at 10 a.m. at Good Shepherd in Terrell, 200 West College Street, Terrell, 75160, and the second meeting is scheduled for 2:30 p.m. at St. David of Wales, 623 Ector Street, Denton, 76201. The meetings review big items to come before the convention such as budget and any proposed constitution and canon changes.
