Greetings Conventioneers! We are moving registration and payment online this year for all convention-related events including the 129th Convention, Leadership Day and Clergy Spouse Luncheon. And we want to remind you of two scheduled Pre-Convention Meetings that do not require registration. Lastly, we have included the requests of two ministries we support on Convention Day for a toy-drive and gently used men's clothing and a reminder for those who want to set up a vendor table at our gathering. Let's get started!

Registration Links have been sent to your church. If your church hasn't signed up yet, email Cassie Roberts at

Come and join us for Convention Leadership Day scheduled from 10 am. to 3 p.m., November 8, at St. Matthew's Cathedral, 5100 Ross Avenue in Dallas. Speakers are Dr. Garwood Anderson, professor of New Testament at Nashotah House; and the Rt. Rev. Dr. Justin Holcomb who is the bishop of the Diocese of Central Florida.

Anderson is the Distinguished Professor of Biblical Interpretation at Nashotah House. He is a committed teacher and frequent retreat speaker, and was recognized with Asbury Theological Seminary's 2006-2007 Excellence in Teaching and Learning Award. Anderson's research interests center especially on narrative approaches to reading the gospels, the parables of Jesus, Pauline soteriology and the theological appropriation of the New Testament.

Holcomb has taught theology and apologetics at numerous seminaries since 2000 and has written or edited more than 20 books on abuse, theology and Biblical studies. Prior to serving in the Diocese of Central Florida, he was a professor at the University of Virginia, served as a priest at a parish in the Episcopal Diocese of Virginia, was an executive director of an interdenominational ministry, served as the Director of Graduate Ministries at the Center for Christian Study in Charlottesville, Virginia, and held various other ministry posts.
