As the diocesan convention approaches we are asking for donations to one or all of the following ministries. Please consider making a generous gift to the Diocese of Honduras where they are raising money for the Little Friends of Jesus center in Villanueva, Cortes. The money will provide for the immediate needs of children from the poorest homes. To donate to Bishop Allen's Center for Childcare, The Little Friends of Jesus, send a check to the Episcopal Diocese of Dallas at 5100 Ross Avenue, Dallas, TX, 75206 and note in the memo line "Honduras Donation."

Canon Carrie Headington's Thanksgiving Food Drive for those in need is asking for pantry food, in particular green beans, corn, yams, cranberry sauce, corn bread mix, rice and stuffing. Donations of Wal-Mart gift cards are also appreciated to help provide some wonderful Thanksgivings.

One Man's Treasure, a ministry for men recently released from prison, is asking for donations of gently used men's coats and work shoes. These men come out of prison with very few clothes. This ministry provides gently used clothing so these men can transition back into society and contribute in a positive ways.

Items can be dropped off at convention, scheduled for 9 a.m., Nov. 6, at Parish Episcopal School at 4101 Sigma Road in Dallas.
