EDOD Mission Day 2019

    The diocese is hosting a mission day and invites all churches and parishioners to participate. The event is scheduled for 9 a.m. to 3:45 p.m., May 4 at St. Luke's Episcopal Church in Dallas. 

    Bishop George Sumner will speak about the Anglican tradition of evangelism.

    Keynote speaker, Rebecca Manley Pippert, author of Out of the Saltshaker and into the World, will speak about spiritual renewal, evangelism and formation. 

    Nancy Beth Roberts and Pat Allen, co-chairs of the Harvest Prayer Network, will lead a session on the importance of prayer in relation to missions. They will also discuss how to start an evangelistic prayer group in the parish. 

    Jeremy Tackett and Christopher Sikkemma are digital evangelists for the Episcopal Church. They will talk about how to build relationships and create community on social media and other online formats. 

    Deacon Paul Thomas, a Wycliffe Bible translator and global missionary, will teach how to use biblical storying as an evangelism tool when working with different cultures. 

    The event is free for those who register.
