This June, several members of EDOD’s clergy are participating in the Great Cycle Challenge, sponsored by the Children's Cancer Research Fund. The event raises funds to fight kids' cancer. Our team is riding with the special intention of supporting Fr. Garrin Dickinson, rector of Holy Nativity in Plano, and his wife, Genny, as they and their daughter, Eleanor, battle cancer found in Eleanor’s spine earlier this year.

Many of us have been in the Dickinson’s shoes. Whether at home, in our churches or children’s schools, or in our neighborhoods, most of us know a family impacted by childhood cancer. In fact, cancer is the largest killer of children from disease in the United States: 38 children die of cancer every week. We believe that kids should be living life, not fighting for it.

We are asking for your support in one of two ways. Please consider:

• Supporting our team with a financial contribution.
