St. Philip’s Sudanese Episcopal Church has been accepted as a mission by the Rt. Rev. George Sumner. The congregation, which is South Sudanese, worships in the language of Dinka and has an average Sunday attendance of about 100. They have been worshiping at a noon service at Ascension in Dallas and will continue to do so as a mission.

The Rev. Deng Alaak Pager has been received into the Episcopal Church as a priest and will serve as the vicar. Please join us in congratulating this wonderful congregation into our fold as a new mission church.
